Congratulations to the 2024 Jacksonville Venture Student Competition Winner: Gator Guard

The mission of the Jacksonville Venture Competition is to foster innovation and entrepreneurship within the vibrant startup ecosystem of Jacksonville, Florida. This annual competition serves as a platform for aspiring entrepreneurs, providing them with an opportunity to showcase their innovative ideas and gain valuable exposure.


This year the Jacksonville Venture Competition held its inaugural Student Pitch Competition. Among the competitors were representatives from Flagler College, Jacksonville University, and the University of Florida. The students and their start-ups were, Olivia Pinson with Healing Hub, Gabriel Gervai with Cozy Swaps, Miles Turner with Gator Guard, Shane Singh with S Star Technologies, and Emmy James with LouFit.


 

After all the students shared their pitches, the crowd voted for their favorite and the judges awarded each start-up with a different superlative before announcing the overall winner.


🏆 Healing Hub was awarded – “Social Impact Champion.”

🌎 Cozy Swaps was awarded – “Eco Warrior.”

🎤 Gator Guard was awarded – “Best Presentation.”

👷🏻‍♂️ S Star Technologies was awarded – “Building the Future.”

 👏 LouFit was awarded - "Crowd Favorite" and "Rising Star."


Gator Guard was also awarded the overall first-place prize.
